scrolling problem redux :)

Completed PW's menu & the DOS finally stopped, so it must have removed a LOT of files. Unfortunately, this didn't do anything for the scrolling, but am certainly expecting better performance tomorrow. Also, the RamBooster is gone & won't be re-installed unless I have lagging RT charts.

Continuing to search the web, I found this support.microsoft.com

took out the smooth-scrolling checkmark & strangely enough, it helped.

I think I'll stop there as I consider myself lucky to have updated the video drivers once already with no disasters. The last time I spoke with ATI tech, I was told that if I had gotten 3 monitors going successfully, I shouldn't touch the drivers!

Thanks to mr mark, cheeky & PW for the great help! I learned a lot. Will keep the DOS commands handy for future use, as I think that definitely must have swept the files a lot cleaner than I have been doing.
