Other than boosting the EPS of some US defense company, this will have no other effect anywhere else. It is a waste of money for India. And since Pakistan has adopted the "first-use" of its N-option in case its security is seriously threatened, this doesn't change the picture in any way. However, Pakistan has to make some statements in reaction to the deal, and they have done just that.

End of story.
