Del, I am absolutely sure this is true. I know that in many parts of California wood-burning stoves have already been outlawed (they are even more polluting, right?), and I realize fireplaces are very inefficient. But they are so warm and cozy, totally unlike a videotape of a fire.

Will the houses you are designing actually NOT have fireplaces?

Also, Del, have you been following the debate we're having between the environmentalists and all the people on opposing sides of the question? I would be interested to know what you think. I agree with so much of what you think about other issues, I'm really curious.
