This is fascinating--------where is Newt Gingrich when I need him.

There are historical factors that come to bear here that affected the various times.

What I cited in my writing has been my observation with friends, who did not have Aids,in the late 1900's and the early 2000's.

When I see these kinds of what I consider early deaths in the present time of friends-------I question the statistics that say the average is 70 plus. If so then there has to be a lot of people living into their 90's and early 100's to bring that average up to 70 plus.

Having had statistics I tend to question these claims of much higher average life spans for the majority of americans.

Call me skeptical. mj
