Dragonfly: IRIDIUM is first to market with the only functional global handheld satellite phone in the history of mankind. If the Globalstar followers criticize IRIDIUM, it is only because they know this all too well. Nearly four years ago, I was a large holder of Globalstar stock, and as rabidly anti-IRIDIUM as many Globalstar followers are now; but the evidence of IRIDIUM's more robust launch strategy and global market strategy, in addition to conversations with what I soon realized were a highly professional group of people running the company, convinced me of the vast differences between IRIDIUM and Globalstar. Being able to make calls on my IRIDIUM phone, which I've been doing for the past month, solidified my conviction. Talk is cheap - execution is everything. I'll put my money on execution any day...
