The technology is. INKT's caching strategy is unique (as far as search engines are concerned). Two ways to make things faster when demand increases: improve caching, or throw lots and lots of hardware at the problem. INKT does the former, Altavista (I've heard) does the latter. I could be dead wrong, of course :-). Throwing lots of hardware at a problem to solve it is, again, not interesting from a research perspective. I'd like to look at caching, and thus part of my interest in INKT. However I haven't seen many technical details on their web site :-). Guess something about they're trying to make money from their technology or something like that gets in the way. Sorry my response is very vague, but my info on INKT is at a VERY high-level, and I have not been able to get much information on how the stuff works. -Mike
