nsm warned. and a temporary stay of the International Trade Commission's order of Oct. 16, 2000 has been issued by the Federal Circuit Court.

On Oct. 19, 2000, SST appealed the ITC's ruling, excluding it from importing certain products into the United States, and requested a stay of enforcement of the ITC's order. On Oct. 23, 2000, the Federal Circuit granted a temporary stay and ordered the ITC and Atmel (Nasdaq: ATML) to file briefs responding to SST's motion by Oct. 30, 2000. The Federal Circuit will issue a final decision regarding the permanency of the stay after reviewing the materials submitted by all of the parties.

Until the Federal Circuit issues its final determination regarding the duration of the stay, SST is free to continue to import the affected products into the United States.

Bing Yeh, president and CEO of SST, stated: "I am pleased with the decision of the Federal Circuit granting SST a temporary stay. I strongly believe that after all of the briefings are filed and heard that the stay will be made permanent."
