Yeah, pretty good analogy, except that this land was taken from them, not left to them. and they never get the allowance.

Native American stuff is interesting. They have a sort of nation within a nation status. They are allowed basic self-government as long as they comply with national and (I think) state laws. Not sure about the state. Don't know much about businesses. Many tribes are allowed to have legal gambling, which is often illegal in the rest of the state. A number of tribes have made a decent living in this way.

Would be nice, but there are the problems of the "white man's burden." I don't think it will happen on a large scale. Some compromise will be found in which the natives, once again, are given the shaft.
