Regarding Janice's books, I don't know anything about Italian bookeating insects--but the University folks over there should know something. Once she does get rid of the infestation, there is proabab;y something she can spray on the area to keep the bugs away. One think I am pretty sure of, if they are eating books, they wiil not do anything to her, that is unless she pisses them off! Seriously, she should ckeck with a local expert who knows something about this particular problem and can identify the insect species.
