Bill consolidation with the local company is fine...if you're the local company. It sucks if you want to combine traditional LD with the LD calls from your cellphone, local, internet, plus whatever else, then give discounts that look at the combined amount of all services. The LD companies have been doing combined billing with the RBOCs since 1986 but the trend is in a decline. AT&T just spent a gazillion dollars creating the capability of sending out their own bills.
