DVD RAM drives are available from Panasonic wholesale @ $525. Media is single side 2.6Gb, or 2x 5.2Gb. Drives will read CD, CD-R and PD also. It's a glorified WORM drive, but the media is much cheaper, and the back-up software works beautifully as a direct data access alternative to tape and MO. Solves niche storage problems. The motion picture industry has thwarted the encryption standard for two years, but who wants to pay $40. for a movie, anyway? Wooly "SDE"
