I'd like to think that getting the victim stabilized in a good hospital before the press vultures pounced was the reason for the delay.

Cheney famously doesn't give a rap about the press or what anybody thinks about Cheney but Cheney.

The vultures will pick whatever bones they can find no matter what you do. I mean, the allegations that Cheney deliberately shot a man for whatever reason are beyond absurd.

I do have a cogent comment that I haven't seen the vultures make, yet. It is this: Cheney's real job is to wait in the wings to succeed the President if need be.

Is he up to that job?
