If the big three can gain a competitive advantage with another design software, I have no doubt they will seriously consider it. For example, Chrysler is converting thousands of Lotus 123 users to Excel while retaining legacy data thru conversion. This is no small feat and is costly but Chrysler is looking forward not backward here. I understand the PMTC is aggressively pursuing the big three. I'm apt to think that they will land a win within a year. PMTC's just-released PDM system bodes well for them as well and gives them an advantage !!!
