Philip, The ASICs are chipsets for CDMA handsets which companies like Oki produce. Rather than develop their own ASICs, they buy Qcoms and put them in their own CDMA phone designs. Not much profit from it yet. All this is in the future. The only real income stream for Qualcomm so far is Omnitracs, which is increasing in popularity, elegant design and market dominance. When a billion or two people can afford mobile phones, then ASICs sales will be really hitting the bottom line of Qcoms accounts, but it will be crowded by Globalstar profits, handset sales, royalties, Eudora sales and call charges. Give it 5 years. Maurice Winn
