One other note on the bonds. A close associate in manufacturing
sales has been a good indicator for me on what the economy is doing.
Whenever her sales skyrocket (she has a broad sector of customers),
the economic reports the month after come out strong and when her sales
are lousy the indicators fall the next month. This indicator has been
consistent many times and right now her sales are totally dead.
This makes me think that news for bonds in the next month should be
good, although most of her sales are in California and the rest of
the country could be growing stronger. I heard Mid Atlantic is
supposedly strengthing.
