Jerry, I heard that also about the modem speed. Another question though, concerning the Iomg discussions. What would be the purpose of having a disk drive for a modem? The purpose of the modem is to prepare the data to hit the computer in a digital format that it can use. If it is coming too fast for the CPU to process it (and It would with some computers) the drive could store it until the computer cought up. But couldn't any hard drive or zip drive serve this purpose? In any case, wouldn't that defeat the purpose and value of speed. Its not how fast we receive it, its how fast we can view it. I'm not saying this is a silly idea, I'm just saying that it doesn't make sence to my swiss-cheese brain. By the way it is obvious that your Broker knows a lot more about this company than mine.
