DIGL - another favorite stock to trade Digital Lightwave Inc. provides the fiber-optic networking industry with products and technology that monitor, maintain and facilitate the management of fiber-based high-speed communication networks. The Company's products are used to cost-effectively verify and qualify service during network installation and maintenance applications and to proactively monitor deployed networks to ensure optimal performance. Top customers are Ciena, Level 3, Lucent, Tellabs, Qwest, ONI Systems, and distribution partners Conformance Standards Limited and Wandel Global Services. Just reported on April 17. Actual +27 cents vs +21 expected with slightly cautious and optimistic view. 2001 estimate is +84 cents 2002 estimate is +1.06 cash is 1.27/share market cap is 1.22 billion short interest is 19.3% 2001 PE is 47.6 2002 PE is 37.7 I believe optical space is nowhere near its bottom. (just read CSCO latest earnings release or JDSU) Many of DIGL customers are struggling and this should have a negative near term effect. Since earnings release DIGL went from $14 to $40, leaving it very extended. Major resistance is 43 Next extremily major resistance at 56 Major support at 25.50 I feel DIGL can be shorted anywhere from 41-43 with a target of 35-37 DIGL was a great ATM machine for me all of last week. (numerous roundtrips) I have no position at this time, but will shorting tomorrow over 41 after 10:30am Many Happy Returns
