Ponoka is 'Black Elk'. Ponokee is the name of a mountain range. ... but for you it will be 'the nick name of an old friend', unless you can come up with a better excuse.

Less's unabashed Dictionary
Ponokee: 1) The nickname of an old friend. 2) Mountain Range. 3) Somethin' else.

As in: The ponokee of his old friend was 'gus'.

As far as I know there is no other word that means 'the nickname of an old friend'. Kind of like 'Che' in spanish only not. So if we call you Ponokee, you get to be the fond nickname of every man/person's buddy. It has a nice ring to it anyway.,,okeepinockie?
