Company's Director of Solutions Engineering to address topic at VMWORLD 2007

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Double-Take® Software (NASDAQ: DBTK) knows that in situations where companies are looking to reduce the costs associated with disaster recovery planning, virtualization can enable easier recovery at a fraction of the cost. To address this timely topic, Bob Roudebush, Director of Solutions Engineering, will present "Virtualized Recovery for Real Disasters" at this year's VMWorld conference in San Francisco on Tuesday, September 11, at 5 PM Pacific Time in room Esplanade 306.

Virtual server technologies provide companies with the ability to consolidate data and applications onto a single server resulting in reduced costs, simplified IT management and minimized space requirements. The need to protect these virtualized systems is paramount as they are running multiple business-critical applications and require a high level of protection. Roudebush will discuss strategies and solutions that companies can deploy to ensure timely and cost effective protection of data and applications in a virtual environment.

For companies looking to reduce costs associated with disaster recovery planning, virtualization can enable easier recovery without a great deal of additional cost. Double-Take Software customers are already seeing the benefit.

"With the implementation of Double-Take for Virtual Systems, each of our offices now has a streamlined approach to disaster recovery. Instead of backing up to five physical machines, we are now using one virtual server to back up all of our offices." said Nancy Williamson, Vice President, Automated Media, Inc. (AMI). "Not only is AMI seeing a cost savings associated with fewer systems and fewer tapes, but we've also been able to eliminate downtime should a disaster occur - a critical element for our customers' operations."

"Double-Take Software continues to provide an all-in-one solution to support the overall business continuity objectives our customers set forth. Double-Take for Virtual Systems allows easier and more streamlined recovery when a disaster strikes," said Bob Roudebush. "Businesses can have complete confidence in the unparalleled data protection, availability and recoverability, while also simplifying overall IT management."
