The coverage by The Financial Post was lacking from the beginning,
and the Northern Miner didn't do better(half a page in his week
edition)The coverage in Quebec was larger due to the fact some
exploration compagnies opposed the ban and played their connections
with the local newspapers to make it loud and clear.

Lets make a small summary of the compagnies with claims and see how
much is left to be stacked:

Azimut/vior/virginia 1500 claims and more to come 50% Kennecott
St Genevieve 1000
Fancamp 318
Sirois 200
AltaVista 150
Geonova 117
---
3285claims(not counting the majors)
Quebec Authorities 113claims

According to the FP the total claims for the 800km2 is around 4870
claims, there more 1585 claims to go.If you add the majors nothing
is left.(something wrong)

I don't think the majors will move on small companies, they are more
interrested by the fate of the 113 Quebec's claims.

I more see Altavista,Sirois,Fancamp,Geonova joined by Freewest in a
syndicate or partenership.

I still do think that much more small compagnies will emerge with
claims in the area, perhaps Oasis and Orient.
