My Contest portfolio is now in first place!
Just a few weeks ago my portfolio was in last place. That’s biotech investing for you.
What rocketed my portfolio to first place, as others may have noticed, is the buyout of Immune Design/IMDZ by Merck at a huge premium.
I first heard about Immune Design after a friend with Merkel cell carcinoma participated in a 2014 clinical trial of one of the company’s drugs and had a complete response; the only one of ten in the trial. My friend still shows no sign of recurrence!
