*I learned absolutely nothing from the experience of antisemitism that I didn't know before* With all due respect.. That is an unknown.. What is evident is that it did not turn you into a bitter man.. All your life experience shapes you.. How it shapes you is your choice... Free will.. Whether you choose to believe or not is moot.. experience teaches.. We choose our reactions.. Without that experience how can one fully understand.. I can never understand the depravity of the Holocaust as a survivor would.. I surely know it was horrible and evil.. I can never fully comprehend the rape of Nanking.. But I can rail against it as being horrible. No one does not need to experience evil to recognize it.. But experience arms you better. I just watched 'THE THIN RED LINE' on netflix.. It is instructive Know before... You learn in school.. Then you go to work .. Live your life.. And the learning truly begins.. Simple.. Experience is the best experience.. Feel free to quote that
