There are plenty of people who would never vote for a woman, period, because, as we all "know" -
1) Women are flighty;
2) Women are irrational;
3) Women are not as smart as men;
4) Women can't be trusted;
5) Women hate women.
These are pretty much the same people who would never vote for a Catholic, or a Hindu, or a Jew, or a Moslem, or an atheist, or someone whose skin is black, brown, red or yellow. I prefer not to argue with people who think like that, because I like knowing they're out there, instead of hiding under a rock.
It's so refreshing to be around people who just let it all hang out. Most people keep thoughts like those to themselves in public anymore, at least where I come from. Then you never know that they have a secret agenda. |
