WLDI: World Am Subsidiary Employees File Patent Application
Business Editors WESTMINSTER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 2003--World Am Communications Inc (OTCBB: WLDI) www.world-am.com, whose wholly owned subsidiary, Isotec, Inc. www.isotecinc.com, conceives, develops and markets state-of-the-art security systems, announced today that Isotec employees who own the patent, Roy Bishop and Dannie Shaver, have initiated the process to obtain a patent covering their anti-tailgating systems. The patent, when granted, will be assigned to Isotec. Isotec is forwarding to the Commissioner of Patents the Isotec disclosure proposal for the ATG100 as of this date. This will provide for the registration of the date of invention, allowing Isotec to finish development of the product and protect the invention for two years. The patent application is applicable to innovations incorporated in two new Models - ATG-100P and ATG-100; designed in response to a general lack of effective anti-tailgating devices in the market today. These systems are designed to be completely integrated with any access control system having programmable inputs and outputs. The ATG-100P differs from the original ATG-100 because it was developed to meet the TSA requirement for anti-tailgating in an access control portal configuration. The 9044L (L for lateral door orientation) was developed in response to the TSA requirement that ramp personnel would have a supervised portal with anti-tailgating provisions to allow passage, with a parcel directly from the tarmac to the terminal. The portal is bi-directional. Isotec Director of Sales & Marketing, Roy Bishop stated: "These systems can be used in conjunction with access control equipment supplied by other manufacturers as well as Isotec portals. The disclosure proposal represents the first step in the patent process." Mitchell Vince, Isotec CEO added, "We are currently working with independent testing sites to document the performance of the new models. We hope to have the testing complete and are planning to offer these models for sale by fourth quarter 2003. We are accepting inquiries from interested parties now. We know that patents are an important part of protecting the value of new ideas. We have already received favorable input from those who have seen demonstrations of these new models."
