PJ, I do not think that David was saying the farmer should not plant this season because last year was bad. Having both parents come off Minnesota farms, I know the farmer optimism. I think what David was talking about was the farmer standing in his river bottom field, as it is raining cats and dogs, the river is raising to crest four feet above his newly planted corn crop, and he states with a dazed look in his eyes, its going to be a good harvest this year Olie!
As per the stock price, they say about the same thing in the soft drink industry about the Neilson ratings (they rate TV shows and sales of soft drinks and display activity in super markets as well), when they look good for you they are gospel, when they look bad for you, OH you can't believe those thinks, they are totally inaccurate. Never discount the movement of the price as immaterial. It may be, but if your wrong the lesson is never a fun one. |
