GITMO VS. FIDEL [Tim Graham]
It's worth remembering that even as the New York Times obsesses about who didn't handle the Korans at Guantanamo with great tenderness, their approach to the ruler of the rest of Cuba is much more relaxed. Why, Fidel Castro is an amazing man. TimesWatch reports the newspaper of record finds the official shutterbugs are enthralled: “Fidel still goes for 18, 20 hours a day. He’s one of those people who can sleep for a couple of hours and look as fresh as a lettuce, and everyone else is just dead.”

Earlier, the Times noticed that Castro "has drawn accolades wherever he has gone, much to Washington's chagrin" as he "inspires populist left-wing movements."
