I don't have a primary doctor myself ... don't even know what kind of doctor does that kind of thing. I self-diagnose everything and if necessary I go to the walk-in clinic. Pretty much the only time I see a doctor or nurse is if I think I might have a possible infection, in which case I expect them to prescribe me some antibiotics ... for everything else I adopt a "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger" approach. In my experience unless my problem is something that can actually kill me, doctors are a waste of time. I make the appointment, explain to the doctor what I have diagnosed, he agrees with me, we both agree that the only solution for the problem is time, rest and drink lots of liquids, and then he charges me a substantial amount of money.
