Oh, there's lots of histotical context. That's exactly my point. Conflict in that area goes back thousands of years. And much of it is conflict amog the same people. That's why Solon was citing the OT.

What you refuse to recognize is that there are two sides to this story. You want 1000% support for Israel.

Now if Israel can manage to wipe out the 10s of millions of Arabs surrounding them, they can settle the matter without having to deal with the other side of the story. That's highly unlikely, though.

If those Arabs can wipe out those few million Israelis, they can do the same. That's probably a better bet but still not good.

Failing one or the other of the above, both sides are going to have to be brought to a reasonable settlement that both agree to. It may have to be imposed on them. But the imposers had better take the whole story into account if they want a stable solution.
