I was thinking of Clark, and observing that since he left, the decisions seem to have turned the company downward, consistently. I suppose that my comparison is rather direct: Clark's input was the effective segment of the team, McCracken was along for the ride. Again, this is not based on close observation, but a distant perspective of stock trajectory from 1995 on.

Many investors followed Clark and jumped all over Netscape's IPO. We'll see how that works out in the long term.
