I just recently discovered the band called The Mavericks. I'm not sure how they escaped me. I suppose it has something to do with me not being a long time country music fan. Anyhow, I'm sitting here playing some of their tunes and I'm really diggin' them. The sound of the band along with lead singer Raul Malo sort of reminds me of a cross between Roy Orbison, Dwight Yoakam, and Chris Isaak. They have a really cool, clean sound. I can't believe I never really new much about these dudes before. They also have a new album out since just recently getting back together. -TwoSteppingClappy
