Well.... this is how it went. I tried to watch the Fountain and found it so weird I decided to go to sleep. My husband told me the visuals were stunning, and he thought I'd like it. So, I decided to watch the special features first- and it made all the difference to me. Read the reviews at Rotten Tomatoes. I kind of agree with all of them- I know that sounds weird, but for this movie you can really see why almost any reaction is justified. IF you don't mind spending a lot of time on the special features, and you like avant garde film making, and you don't mind a challenge, and some frustration- I recommend the movie. I mean the best thing about it is that it is really different- and that's probably the worst thing about it too :-)
