OT bargainman,

I agree with a lot of what you said but I differ on the part about educating the Republican majority on basic economics. As I have read it the Republicans were offering a larger tax cut than the Democrats.

Also Alan Greenspan was those who don't remember was nominated to his office by Ronald Reagan, a Republican, and took office on June 20, 1996. In spite of Clinton, Greenspan has kept this economy on track.
