These actions by the Arabs countries were in response to the West forcing a "Jewish" state in Palestine.

Just as one can say that any Arab relocations and evictions were a response by every Arab nation in the region attacking Israel.

The one major difference is that many Jews were evicted from countries that were not even engaged in open hostilities with Israel, whereas in 1948, The Grand Mufti was telling Arab Palestinians to flee the Israeli areas to the West Bank. Thus, Arabs evicting them from non-combatant countries would be tantamount to every western nation expropriating the property of, and then deporting, every Muslim, based upon the attack upon 9/11.

And of course, the Israelis didn't have much sympathy for the Palestinians since every Arab in the region was trying to exterminate them.

What would you have done in the place of the Israelis? Surrendered or just let them kill you? Or would you have welcomed back the Palestinians even after they had just tried to kill you?

Maybe it ain't right, but what's done is done and it's not going to be easily undone.

So the past needs to be put in its place, with respect to both Jews and Palestinians, and both need to concentrate on the future.
