I quite agree tm; as a swing trader, I believe your assertion about your gains this year (I doubled 3 times before April, but am up only 150% since), and share your concerns about the coming year.

Without improvements in the world economy, without an easing of Middle East oil pressures, without the Fed reducing the Prime Rate, and without the introduction of Business Finance 101 into way too many techno-wunderkinds, I'd say the odds are strong that we'll see a Dec/Jan to parallel last Mar/April..... and a definite recession within the year.

As to how to manage capital best through it?

I'd say buy every hard bottom, hold very little beyond 5 days, short frequently and consider a lucrative career in televangelism or drug-dealing <GG> (For the uninformed: that last was sarcasm).

Your thread may not prove highly popular but it's a very useful service & good starting point.
