"Now little Johnny's parents were anti-social . . ." Ah, Father Terrence, I think some of us already knew this. Divergent thinkers who do not participate in the usual baseball leagues and small-town niceties tend to rear children who are also free thinkers (and occasionally blunt, needing the soft gentleness of feminine energy to teach them a thing or two about getting message across effectively once in awhile).

I am surprised that Johnny's autobiography is so much about baseball!! Baseball metaphors are so middle American!!! I myself am looking forward to Johnny's teenage years!!!

And please tell him for me that the word he is looking for is "piqued", not "peaked". I almost never correct other people's grammar or spelling, but since he is actually writing seriously I thought he might appreciate this tiny bit of editing.

He needs a sweet woman English major sitting on his lap while he pounds the keyboard!!! Not me, of course, but as I recall Sugar Magnolia is pretty good with words . . ."
