christine - i don't know if this book has been mentioned, it's "hemp and the marijuana conspiracy: the emperor wears no clothes" by jack herer chris conrah, lyn osburn, and judy osburn. it was published in '96 by quick trading. amazon.com says it is out of stock indefinitely by the publisher. maybe you could find a copy around sf. there is also a book by jack herer, same title only reversed. it was published in 1992 and amazon shows it in stock. if you search amazon for books with hemp in the title there are several. a few looked like they would be interesting reading. there's a cdrom titled "george washington's hemp farm" but it gives not description of the contents. i've looked at a few sights on hemp on the net, but haven't come across one yet that has much information. but there are many left to search. jp
