I visited Best Buy this afternoon and found the shelves replete with CREAF merchandise - soundcards, internet cameras, graphic accelerators, and speakers.

Just as I arrived a customer walked off with a competitor's $69.99 Altec Lansing speaker set in lieu of the Cambridge Soundworks set also at $69.99 sitting on the next shelf. I have to wonder whether the packaging on the Soundworks products is too plain vanilla and if CREAF would be better off incorporating the standard Soundblaster logo along with the Soundworks name - especially on the lower end sets. I believe it would be worth test marketing.

Unable to find the Encore DVD-ROMs, I consulted a sales clerk who assured me that the Encore DVD-ROMs were indeed on the aisle where I had been looking. Finally, by reading the shelf tags I found the Encore location and sure enough back on the bottom shelf of two shelves used for Encores, they had one left in the store. I believe it was $229.99 but offered a $29.99 rebate.

Best of luck,

Steve
