--------OT---- a farmer, a son and a horse

This is an old Chinese story. I may change a little because I forgot exactly how to say it. Almost every Chinese knows it, except the ones over here in the States. :-)

A long time ago, there were a farmer, a son and a horse. They worked very hard in the field.

One day, the horse ran away. All the neighbors came to see the farmer and said sorry to him. The farmer smiled and said to them: "how did you know?"

A few days later, the horse came back, not only that, it came back with many horses. This time neighbors came to the farmer and said how lucky he was. He smiled and said the same: "how did you know?"

In the next few days, the son was training those horses and broke his leg. The neighbors came and said how sorry they were. Again, the farmer relied: "how did you know?"

Later, a war broke-out, all the young people in the village went to fight the war. The son stayed because of the broken leg. The neighbors came to the farmer and said how lucky he was. The farmer smiled and replied: #$%&*@)($??????

Hope you enjoy. Any comments? I see the same thing happening over and over again.
