For PowerPC speed, there have been so many news recently regarding
this as opposed to current Intel's. PowerPC (max of 533 mghz) is the
fastest chip so far, even faster than DEC's Alpha chip. Your brother
will have a bright future since UCSD is one in top ten in Computer
Science/Engineering fields.
You're absolutely right about Educational market, especially after
Mr. Client's speech last night emphasizing on education. Fortunally,
Apple has been in this field for a long time and has about 60% of
the total school's pc market. Apple will continue providing the
better and friendly pc to schools.
About national defense, actually, Next (recently acquired by Apple)
has been in this field and in a good position to increase significantly in the future. I could not tell you who told me, but,
that is absolutely true. |
