I think hackles were raised after Abu Ghraib, and all the other incidents surrounding that. There have been hearings, structural changes, criticism from both sides of the aisle- I really don't think you can minimize the beating this admin took over torture and abuse. There really has been a great deal of coverage- and it's still going on.

This story is just so juicy. It's more an OJ story- if you will. A story of how the privileged act when they're off enjoying themselves, and further, how they act when something goes wrong- a peek in to their lives, and a nice long look at how they act when there's a problem. This country is fascinated by the "upper class", which is defined in this country by wealth and fame, rather than title- so it's just like a naughty story on Prince Charles (who people in the UK don't dislike quite as much as people here dislike Cheney, but he's got a similiar "ick" quotient, if you will).

IMO- of course
