I haven't called Byrd a traitor. I've called him a racist because he's been one his entire life. That's why he worked so hard to prevent civil rights legislation from being enacted and why he opposed both blacks nominated to the high court.

If the "rightwing are the racists" why is Byrd Senate Majority Leader?
