Some current infrastructure assurance concerns are related to increased seismic activity as a result of thermal expansion due to the current increase in average global temperature (whatever its cause, the temperature has been rising steadily). The insurance companies are starting to figure out that weather patterns become more violent and erratic as higher levels of energy are introduced into the system. They don't seem to have picked up on what happens when the surface of an object is heated and the core isn't. Regards, Dan
