Kenneth

Thank you for the information.

This isn't a political question------this is a taxpayer question and a privacy issue. and a rights issue.

Taxpayers should not be supporting their local or state government to collect dues to any association

The teachers association is getting a free ride on the backs of the taxpayers.

It is not mandatory in the USA that a person must join an association of any sort and have fees collected by the government for membership in organizations .

When I taught school I could pay dues directly to either of the two associations that claimed to represent teachers or not pay either. I had a choice. Those associations collected their dues directly, not called dues but membership fees.

North Carolina Taxpayers are being screwed by someone who is requiring that Teachers association fees, dues be deducted from paychecks. How many more government employees must be hired in North Carolina to collect and keep the funds separate from other state funds??? (I am presuming they are not co-mingled)

Why should the government of North Carolina invade the privacy of the teachers by having a list of those who are association members? And, by extrapolation develope a list of those who are not members?

Seems like that Governor is toast--------- mj

Additional Note

Kenneth, please post links for the full article so that the full article may be read in its original form. It really helps to have those links. The only source given is the writers names--------at the end there is the word 'more' whatever the 'more' is or is not.
