Comment from CBC 5 minutes ago as quantine approaches About 5 years ago I flew to Nicaragua via El Salvador. When we had a short stop over in San Salvador each passenger who disembarked from the plane had a forehead temperature scan by a masked, gloved and disposable suited person before entering the airport. I believe there was a small H1N1 outbreak earlier in the year. A week ago another news outlet reported that passengers arriving in Toronto were "shocked" regarding the lack of screening further than receiving a pamphlet on the Covid virus whereas screening was quite strict in Pakistan. Screening has been sorely lacking to the point that mask wearing passengers with symptoms have been able to return to Canada with little hindrance. The government's new measures should have been instituted weeks ago if not a month or more. « less
