You were close to earnings estimates last time, but so were the analysts.
There is a chance Cube might want to surprise the analysts or that they
might be surprised themselves. After all the quarter isn't even over yet!
My point is the stock has the ability to move up regardless of earnings, as
long as they meet them or beat them by a penny. The right announcement
could cause a short squeeze and when the stock is moving in the right
direction announcements seem to be more right than when the stock was
moving in the wrong direction (and everything was interpreted as bad).
Also, even as there was no earnings surprise last quarter the stock still
shot up before earnings, most likely because the shorts don't like the take
too much of a chance. Anyway, no one really expects Cube to crush earnings
as if they have anything left over they'll most likely save it for the
next quarter. I would like to know if the stock might miss earnings though?

We should see the future value reflected in the stock more
than it is. They say buy on rumor sell on news. Rumor isn't just earnings (which
are by definition past earnings) or important deals, it can be a buzz on a
stock because it's undervalued and in the right place. Do you really think
the stock is worth $28 even if the company just meets earnings?

One final question, which is open for anyone. Is it posible Toshiba or
Panasonic have confidentiality agreements with Cube so that Cube can't
say specifically what chips they make for these companies? Both of these
companies act like they invented DVD and isn't it in their interest not
to promote a chip inside? Sooner or later people will find out and if Cube
gets the right market share they can finance their own ad campaign.
