If Intel can supply GHz CuMines in volume, will AMD suffer? Can AMD respond with higher frequency volume? I don't believe the claims that AMD can release higher speeds any time they want to because of their jacked up VCC. If a product has lots of headroom there's no reason to jackup the VCC yet AMD does so to ship GHz material. They're pushing the limits too.

EP,

I never say too much on this subject because its very difficult to prove anything. However, I have a sense that AMD is toying with Intel. Until Intel can really ship GHz in volume, I think AMD will do just enough to stay competitive.

From the very beginning, I have felt that AMD should always hold some cards back....and that's what I think they're strategy has been and continues to be.
