The situation you describe for the LT's and GX's reminds me of the periodic real estate busts which occur over and over again. The market gets over-built, the owners & developers leave the lenders holding the bag, someone later picks up the excess capacity for a song, can undercut the market on lease rates, waits for the next boom and unloads. I have also seen this happen in communications sattelites.
