I don't know a lot about ECB, I know that there has been some political discussion in France about ECB, but there are surely many reasons why it doesn't affect politics a lot.

I guess most Europeans think "The falling dollar makes it cheaper for me to put fuel in my car." and "USA has bigger trouble than us, so we don't complain" and "Wow, those new gadgets and flatscreens are really cheap now".

My guess is, that the rising food costs because of biodiesel demand is a bigger political problem, than the US$ exchange rate. In Ukraine, it fuelled the current political crisis, because low prices of certain things is part of the social system to protect old people.

One of the results of the rising food prices is that EU will now use more land for agriculture, temporarily - and it may change EU agriculture politics, which is a very big topic in EU.
