Because we have a liar in the White House, folks of all stripes are angrily turning against each other in heated debate. What's amazing to me is that if this were Bush instead of Clinton he would have been forced out of office long ago. Why? First, Bush has principles. Second, some Republicans would have joined the Dems and the media in pushing him out, voluntarily or otherwise. Where were the Dems in the Clarence Thomas matter? And what about Bork? Folks, the Dems have learned how to fight like thugs while successfully portraying Reps as the bad guys. They willingly follow Clinton's calls for combat even though he has no cohesive policy but tried to stiff Bush in the Gulf War when the rest of the world sided with him. Talk about dirty politics!

Remember Orwell's "1984"? That's where we've come to, although Orwell should have called it "1998". What's right is wrong, what's wrong is right. Words mean the opposite of what the dictionary says they mean.

I remember the day when I first heard about Monica. Do you? A chill went up my spine and I thought, "Not again," remembering the Nixon fiasco of the '70s. I took a deep breath and expected the same reaction that Nixon got. Boy, has the U.S. changed in 25 years! And not for the better in ethical and moral terms.
