They must have peed in Vrabel's chili at Harvard. <G> Giving credit to Icelanders is ridiculous. I love Iceland, at least the females, but they did not take a stand until AFTER they were bankrupted. When they had a Triple A rating, every Icelander was playing the game full time. Any nation will protest once their herring ration is cut in half. ("May we have kippers for breakfast? Mother dear, Mother dear. They must have them in Texas, Everyone's a millionaire." Supertramp's "Breakrast in America.")

Harvard's economic theories have always been suspect. Has any country really done well after following their prescriptions? I still remember Russia falling off a cliff after following a Harvard plan.

But he gives the Boston brainiacs too much credit. 27 billionaires went to business school. 21 of them are from Wharton. The Whartonians are simply too smart to let their names be bandied about in public. <G>

However, I think it is a big jump from being a quack economist to being a guy who rams planes into skyscrapers. Vrabel made some sense. Nate was wacko.
